We’re Emily & Ian – co-founders (and husband and wife duo). Like many of you, our journey started with a cat — our first fur baby, Andie. In 2017, we found her abandoned in a relative’s backyard, and although we weren’t planning on becoming pet parents, we couldn’t resist her.

I grew up around animals (just not cats — thanks to allergic parents), and Ian only had birds. So, when Andie came into our lives, it was a whole new world. We knew nothing about cats, but we dove in headfirst — and instantly fell in love.

Andie was our first pet together, and she completely changed how we saw cats. We were blown away by how much joy, personality, and love a cat could bring. All the old clichés about cats being "low-maintenance" or "distant"? Totally false. Cats need love, play, and adventure just like any other pet.

We became proud "cat people" overnight and quickly realized the pet industry lacked quality travel and lifestyle products made just for cats.

Our mission is to create high-quality, safe gear that supports the adventurous, enriched lives our cats deserve. Whether you're heading to the vet, exploring the backyard, or taking your kitty on a national park hike — Vitaring is here to help you go beyond the great indoors.

Since then, we’ve grown into a global cat travel and lifestyle brand, serving catstomers in 100+ countries. We also adopted a little brother for Andie — Wilfred — in 2018, who’s now part of the Vitaring family.

We’re incredibly grateful to run a business that celebrates the unique bond between humans and cats, and to connect with amazing cat lovers around the world.
